Chief Technology Officer wins TWO volunteer awards!

Our Chief Technology Officer, Ray Bell, is not only a credit to the business success of the inTEC Group but also to his inspirational volunteer work in grassroot sports. Ray is a key volunteer at his local cricket club, Stockport Georgians CC, where he runs the Womens and Girls section of around 120 players. He also set up and coordinates the Cheshire Girls Cricket League with around 30 teams competing in 2022. Through his 12 years of volunteering, Ray has opened opportunity for girls of all abilities to get involved, from ages 5 to open age adult cricket, playing socially or competitively. Alongside this, Ray has also been working towards securing ECB Disability Champion Club status and has set up a disability cricket program at Georgians.

Last week, Ray was recognised and awarded with two volunteer awards! The Cheshire Cricket Board awarded him with the ‘Inspired to Play’ award for all of his work in grassroot sports. This award then led to Ray winning the ‘Inspired to Play’ award at the National ECB 2022 Grassroot Cricket Awards for ‘going above and beyond to open the game to new audiences’.

Ray Bell commented:

“Whilst winning awards is not the reason that we, as volunteers, give our time to help local sports clubs, it is really appreciated to be recognised by the ECB in this way. We are very fortunate at Stockport Georgians Cricket Club to have so many hardworking volunteers and coaches who give so much time to make everything possible and I accept this award on behalf of them all, really. Personally, I owe a great deal of thanks to my family who enable me to make this commitment and inTEC who are always supportive of those who are giving back to their local community.”

The inTEC group would like to congratulate Ray on his achievements. His personal commitment and dedication makes winning these awards very well deserved! Well done Ray!
