Showing your sector you are serious about security
As a proud SME ourselves, the inTEC Group are delighted to have achieved IASME Cyber Assurance Level 1 – a true gold standard for small British businesses committed to upholding good standards of cyber security in their industries. IASME certifications are designed with small and micro businesses in mind with the intention of reducing barriers to entry associated with achieving recognised formal standards of security.
Just 12% of British businesses are aware of the Government’s Cyber Essentials scheme, but this figure rises to 59% among large businesses. SMEs are far behind our larger counterparts in achieving recognised standards – disproportionately so when considering that almost 60% of small businesses have experienced a cyber attack in the last 12 months.
IASME certifications hold the key to addressing this. Designed to be affordable and accessible for SMEs, IASME offer two levels of Cyber Assurance certification, which both require IASME Cyber Baseline or Cyber Essentials as a foundational prerequisite. This makes the IASME certifications ideal for any SME looking to demonstrate to clients, prospects and employees alike that they are taking cyber security seriously – without needing to adopt any inhibitive new practices to comply.
To achieve Level 1, you must answer 130 questions about your business and your handling of data, which are marked by an expert IASME assessor. As an IASME certification body, the inTEC Group are on hand to support you through this process, working with you to develop your security posture to give you the best chance of success at the first time of asking.
Once your certification is confirmed, your IASME Cyber Assurance certificate will show your continued commitment to a good standard of information security, which will:
- support you to keep your team and their work safe online, allowing them to work confidently by day and rest easy at night;
- reduce the risk of significant losses to online threats by establishing a strong architecture of cyber-defenses;
- demonstrate your proactive, responsible approach to cyber security to your wider industry, marking you out as a highly suitable supplier, reseller or partner.
The Cyber Assurance standard is mapped closely to the Government’s 10 Steps to Cyber Security Directive and ISO 27001 – you would be working to a widely respected and acknowledged standard of cyber security.
