We are delighted to share the news of inTEC becoming a founding member of THE BIG GOAL – a charity who share the goal of ending youth homelessness through the power of football – supported by Giacom!

The Big Goal’s mission is to:

• Support hundreds of young people in gaining valuable skills through the power of football, helping to change their lives for the better;

• Create opportunities for young people to assist with work experience, giving them a stepping stone into the world of work within the ICT Channel;

• Unleash new talent within our sector;

• Drive diversity and inclusion within our industry;

• Create a unique industry initiative that continues annually, uniting us as one team and making positive change, together.

Sponsored by The Street Soccer Foundation, ‘The Big Goal’ offers companies the unique opportunity to create their own 5-a-side football teams and participate in a national tournament with the chance to compete at St George’s Park, the official training base of the England national football team!

But, the real positive is… for every team that takes part, The Big Goal sponsors up to 10 vulnerable youths via the UK’s top football-led charity project, The Street Soccer Academy, combating youth homelessness. This initiative is a great example of how sports can be used to create a positive impact on society.

The Big Goal is a unique opportunity, exclusive to the ICT Channel which will see sponsors, like inTEC, pioneering the movement. It will create opportunities for local people to learn valuable skills, helping to educate, up-skill, inspire and change lives. This initiative will give young people the ability to help develop their skills further through work experience, apprenticeships and mentoring. It will give sponsors a chance to drive diversity and inclusion and gain new talent within the Channel.

We will be forming our own internal team of 10 inTEC people, comprising 5 players and additional supporting roles such as manager, coach or physio. The tournaments, starting in Spring 2024, are set to take place at various Premier Club stadiums throughout the UK, culminating in an electrifying final staged at the esteemed grounds of St George’s Park. This journey through top-tier venues not only elevates the excitement of the competition but also offers an unparalleled experience, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the renowned settings of the country’s most esteemed football arenas before reaching the pinnacle of the event at St George’s Park.

The best bit about taking part in The Big Goal national football tournament is knowing that when our team steps out onto the pitch, they will be PLAYING FOR CHANGE – knowing our team entry fee serves as a direct sponsorship of an Academy group of young people in our local community. Helping disadvantaged local young people to transform their lives for the better.
