Microsoft ending support on Windows Server 2012

IS YOUR ORGANISATION STILL USING WINDOWS SERVER 2012?

🚫 If so, be aware: on 10th October 2023, Microsoft will officially end support for all versions of Windows Server 2012 (Essentials / Foundation / Standard / Datacentre).

🚫 This means Microsoft will no longer provide you with essential patches, security updates or technical support. As a result, your IT systems will be significantly more vulnerable to cyber-attacks, viruses and malware.

🚫 Continuing to use Windows Server 2012 beyond its ‘End of Life’ date will mean an instant fail to your Cyber Essentials accreditation and may mean your company falls short of industry regulations and insurance requirements. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires all businesses use up-to-date and secure systems when storing sensitive data.

✔️ Upgrading to Windows Server 2022, will help avoid these risks and protect your business from possible cyber-attacks.

✔️ This is a great time to re-evaluate the way your business operates. Perhaps your ‘Work from Home’ solution could be improved or you can make better use of Virtualisation to extend the life and delivery capability of your hardware. Microsoft’s toolbox of applications is now packed with solutions such as inTune for device management and SharePoint to untether your business from servers. In some cases, a fully hosted desktop through Azure AVD would be a great fit.
