Case Study: Ibstock Place School

Ibstock Place School needed to widen their network infrastructure

Managed IT Service Case Study

ABOUT

Ibstock Place School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 4 -18 located in Roehampton, south-west London. Ibstock Place School needed to widen their network infrastructure.

THE CHALLENGE

Robert Gorrie, Director of Innovation and Strategic Projects at Ibstock Place School, outlined problems with limited network reach within their sites with the school working predominantly within dedicated IT rooms.

Consequently, the return of pupils after the Covid-19 pandemic left the school with a restricted reach of technology within their services with the right power, data and Wi-Fi signals.

THE SOLUTION

inTEC Education carried out a network infrastructure audit which consisted of a Wi-Fi survey. This survey mapped out areas of the campus which were most suited to technology and areas which required investment to improve. From this audit, the school could liberalise ways to incorporate technology across the whole campus.

These services have allowed Ibstock Place School to exploit advanced project work for their staff and pupils. The development of their Innovation Centre offers pupils the space and resources such as a green screen area, interactive displays and a podcast studio. inTEC supports the school with these programs and is working to roll out a pupil 1-to-1 scheme.

THE OUTCOME

“We found working with inTEC a really seamless experience and we’ve been able to do a lot in a really short space of time. We can be certain that it will work, it will be delivered on the timelines that we set and we can trust that it will be the right solution for our pupils and our staff”

Robert Gorrie – Director of Innovation and Strategic Projects
